The physical conservation of art on paper, in conjunction with the delicacy of their techniques and paper’s sensitivity to light, means that they cannot be kept on permanent display. The works in the Fondation Custodia are held in store and only come out for temporary exhibitions. It is however possible, by appointment, to consult and study the Fondation Custodia’s various collections in the reading room in Hôtel Turgot.
